Guide for families
How to keep a simple record of your placement
Most disagreements with a recruitment office come down to one question: what happened, and when. A one-page record answers it.

The five dates to write down
- The day you signed the contract with the office.
- The day the worker started with your family.
- The day the trial period ends, from your contract.
- The day the guarantee ends, from your contract.
- If the worker returns to the office or you ask for a refund: that day, and the day the refund is due.
Use the placement date calculator to work out dates 3 and 4 from the number of days in your contract.
What to keep
- Your signed contract with the office.
- Receipts for every payment.
- Messages where the office confirms dates, fees or refund terms. Screenshot them with the date showing.
Do not keep copies you don't need
Your record is about the placement, not the person. It does not need copies of the worker's passport, Emirates ID or bank details. Dates, the contract, receipts and messages are enough.
Log events as they happen
Each time something happens, add one line: the date, what happened, and who you spoke to. For example:
- 03 Nov 2026 · Trial ended, we are keeping her · told office by WhatsApp
- 12 Jan 2027 · Asked office about the refund · spoke to Sara at the front desk
Short, dated and factual. That is all a good record needs.
